Let Rep Schoolcraft know that public dollars should not be used to fund private schools. That public schools are failing because they've failed to adequately fund them for years. Something like
My name is ___ and I live at (ZIP). I am an active voter, asking you to stand up for public education in Texas.
I am included in the majority of Texans who do not support a voucher system and am alarmed at the proposed funding for education. This imbalance between public and private funding will further the gap of opportunity for all students in our state and strip away accountability.
We need a well-educated workforce in our great state and that begins by investing in our local communities and neighborhood schools. I am asking you to step up for our future and a fully funded public education system and stop supporting voucher measures.
